SML: Advancing a 1.6L

Hey all I'm kinda new to this and I was wondering if anyone can help me out 
with a list of mods that will be worth the money and what brand, etc. The 
first mod I want is a Torque Converter. I just want to put a lot of mods on 
this car but keep it N/A.  I have a 95 200SX SE Automatic Trans, so far I 
kept it stock and I'm tired of those punk Civic's trying to race me.  Can 
someone help me out so I can show them what a Nissan can do.
