Correct me here if I am wrong, but if you were to buy a stock standard
tranny w/clutch (maybe used tranny with a new clutch) and pay someone to
put it in, your cost would be around $500. Is that a fair price for
this? There would be a TCU change, but that could be gotten from a bone
yard too.
My reasoning behind this scenario is that good intake (cai@$200+) plus
good exhaust ($250+) is going to yield about 10hp, right? So if an
automatic driver is willing to pay $500 for intake and exhaust, why not
pay $500 for roughly 9 more hp that is already there and being taken
away by your auto? $900-$1000 for 20hp isn't that bad, is it? Or does
this fall into another modding loop hole that makes these things
"accumulative"?
