Ok, I'm going to go "hard core" into this....it's a real bad idea is
what it is. I'm sure that everyone has done this in one way or another,
but we might as well bring up the "Turbo vs. Supercharger" thread on the
SE-R list. It would do you as much good.

Explaination: Splicing is the act of taking one wire and using it to do
the job of 2 or more. This is a bad idea IMO.

Imagine a 1.6L AWD GA16DE. You might get what?.....60-75 hp to the
wheels? if you're damn lucky.....This is what you are doing to wires
when you do something like this. You are asking them to do more than
what they are intended to do.

Drawing too much current from a wire is asking for trouble. This has
been explained on some of the recent "I got 2 gillion watt headlights in
my car" threads. Just b/c there is not a problem today, doesn't mean
that there will not be a problem tomorrow. I wish I could stress this
enough.
