I am planning on cheking it with a light, but I don't know the specs on how
do a VG30E. The sentra as you know, you have to go through the process of
holding the gas for 2 minutes, TPS removal, ect. I dont have the maxima
book. I may get one from my uncle or just ask him for a photocopy of how to
check it. properly. It does have 70,000 on it and I am going to clean the
EGR and other things on it. I just tuned it up with a OEM cap and rotor and
wires and plugs, replaced the fuel filter, replaced the PCV valve and that
did not seem to solve any problems, but pinging won't be solved by that. My
uncle always says to run 89+ in the VG30 motors. It doesn't ping any more
with the High test either and it runs better. Maybe the compression is
higher in the maxima VG30. I don't know. My truck runs better with the 93
octane, but gas prices go up and down and it costs me 20.00 to fill it with
premium. So I usually use 89 in it.
