Don't use the harsh brake cleaner stuff on the rotors to remove brake dust.

Hey I've found a cleaner that is safe to use, will not harm the finish and
cleans very good and is cheap in cost. It's called GOOP hand cleaner, I get
it at a local 99 cent store and when I'm doing a brake job on my Sentra I
just use an old paint brush and paint the stuff on and use the old paint
brush as a scrubber and let things set and then use a water hose to wash the
hole thing (or Parts) down with water and let them air dry or use compressed
air and blow them dry if I'm in a hurry. I've also used this stuff on the
insides of my fender wells, stock alum rims, and many other parts that have
grease or road grime on them and it cleans these things very good with little
scrubbing on my part, just let the GOOP do the work for you (let it set after
applied) and rinse off with water. I've never had any problems with dis
colorment or metal damage so far and I've used this stuff on many different
things. My wife prewashs my car work cloths with this stuff when there are
greasy also and it takes most of the grease/stains out, Also once when my
daughter had a sleep over with 11 little girls at dinner time a lot of food
was dropped on the carpet and kicked under the table and we were not told
about the food droppage and this left a very messy grease type stain in the
carpet and my wife used GOOP hand cleaner on this after trying all the usual
carpet cleaning stuff and it completely removed the stain from the carpet.
Also the container says its biodegradable and non-toxic. Just thought I'd
pass this info on incase somebody might find all this helpful.
