There is a company out of Connecticut that sells a product (clear film) that is tough and clear and adheres to the bumpers of your car. It has to be professionally installed but i hear it is hardly noticeable and very rugged. The company name is called auto-aurmor (i think) i believe they advertise in the back of car and driver -dave
