Sounds like you are gettting blow-by at startup. The pistons/piston rings 
have to get hot and expand before you get a good piston-to-cylinder wall 
seal, so until that happens, oil is getting sucked into the cylinder and 
burned, thus the blue smoke. Now, the oil could some get from the crankcase 
directly into the cylinders (I think), but from what I know about this 
stuff, the more likely scenario is that the blow-by from the cylinders is 
pressurizing your crankcase and forcing oil into your intake tract through 
the PCV/fresh air inlet. My car has had similar problems, which I believe I 
have solved. If you want more details let me know.
