Yeah if your zipcode is "Arctic Circle." :-) Thinner oil is not neccesarily
better oil. As with everything else in automotive applications (and most of
the world) what is better strongly depends on the situation and
circumstances. If someone who lived in a "Death Valley like" region were to
get 0W30 oil because someone told him it was better, they would be dealing
with a very serious engine problem in a short amount of time.
