While this guy has his automatic transmission tore down putting in the torque
converter, he might also think about putting a shift kit in from some place
like Level Ten and an automatic transmission oil cooler because with the
torque converter installed it's going to cause his automatic oil temp to
rise, if he's got a lot of miles on the tranny he might also think about a
rebuilt, no sents in putting all the new go fast goodies in only to have it
brake down on him in just a little while. According to the person at Level 10
I spoke with awhile back (about 4 or 5 months ago) they wanted $3694.00 out
the door for them to completely rebuild my auto. trans. for SCCA events, but
that was with me driving to there shop and them also removing and replacing
the auto. trans.I think you could put in a stick shifter for a lot less money
using good high performance parts for a lot less money.
