COD is not that surefire because he can put rocks in the box and you
wouldn't know it. But, I do use the COD method and I prefer to buy from
people that are well known on the mailing lists and have permanent email
addresses, not hotmail or juno accounts which can be easily made up. For
example, I bought a used Greddy exhaust from a SE-R listmember. I had never
heard his name before, but I found his name on the SE-R.net webpage doing an
article and I found some of his posts on the SE-R mailing list. I also did
it COD and had good communication with the person. This helps. But I was
kind of scared but did not want to pass up the good deal. Shipping was
timely and fast and I got everything I needed. So I guess I got lucky.
