The differnce you feel is in your head. Go dyno your car with it on and off
and you will see data, not what you think. It is very hard to judge any
change by feel. I have tested parts I thought felt better and they made
less hp.
An ignition does not give the responsiveness that a TB will do. The dyno
does not measure part throttle power but I can asure you that an ignition
will not change part throttle power on a stock motor.
The only time an MSD will help this is if you have longer duration cams that
cause 8-stroking due to marginal mixture conditions at part throttle, then
the long spark duration of the MSD can reduce misfire and improve resposne.
On a stock or bolt on motor it will not do anything. Lets see some test
data.
