<<safety feature, you can only start the car while in nuetral......>>

<<Really?
What year do you have again? I can start my car in any gear, as long as
the clutch pedal is depressed.>>

<<i mean the remote starter, only starts with the shifter in nuetral....
its a 98 200sx se>>

If the clutch pedal is depressed, the car IS in neutral. The placement
of the stick doesn't matter until the car is put back into gear by
letting off the clutch :-)

So either way, both the alarm and the car have this safety feature of
not letting the car start while in gear.

The oldest standard tranny car I have driven is a '80 Toyota, and it
even had this feature. I think it's pretty universal.
