i think your fighting a losing battle if you want to ban street racing. just
listen for a minute. there are guys who dont care when or where they race and
go all out at all costs on the street. these are the people to look out for
they are the dangerous ones. but if its 10:30 pm on a straight drag with no
parked cars and some guy wants to throw revs at you why not? sure things can
always happen . these are the times i race . am i going to do ninety on the
street, hell no! stop light to stop light up to 60 mph on a 45 mph road is
pretty reasonable. if the guy wants to go faster and kill himself thats his
choice.if this costs me a win so what. its not worth my life to prove whos
car is faster.
yeah im with you on getting rid of the reckless street racers. i think you
said you were from nyc ? there used to be some of the finest street racing
back in the late eighties on fountain ave. a half mile straight surounded by
garbage truck parking lots.
the streets were ruled by 280,s corollas and first gen rx's. as for racing
anywhere else in the city you had to be freakin insane!
this is why most of us modify our sentras to prowl around late at night and
look for victims! just be smart about it , reasonable and in the right area.
ITS A DAMN SHAME WHAT THEY DID TO FOUNTAIN AVE DIGGING HOLES IN THE STREET!
it was the safest place to race in nyc. now we have boneheads racing down
streets with parked cars and people walking around.
