Just recieved the latest issue of SCC! And here's a quick summary of the
project 200SX 1.6:
Exhaust;
The HotShot Cat-Back Exhuast system produced an increase of 6HP and gained 3
lb-ft of torque.
Also the HotShot tri-Y header gained 6 HP with a max gain of 9 HP in the
5500-rpm range.
ECU;
The JWT ECU which removes the speed limiter and raises the rev limiter. The
ECU gained 2 HP peak,and gained 10 HP at the 5000-5500 rpm range!
And for those of you who don't have the money for the JWT ECU,there's always
the ignition timing adjustment trick. Advancing the timing up to 5-6 degrees
will get you another 5 HP at 5000 rpm.
Intake;
No surprises here,most of you already know what can be gained from the new
1.6 CAI from HotShot. It gained a 3 HP peak and almost 5 HP around 4500 rpm.
Underdrive Pulley;
It's been posted here before,and the SCC project 200SX 1.6 article proves
it. The UR pulley will free up 6 HP to the wheels. And NO there won't be any
problem with crankshaft balance!
