>Bottom line, yes, I now have 2 problems. >The fuel pump/filter was the reason this whole thing started. Correction! The reason your head gasket is likely blown is because the rad fans probably failed to kick in. I know its not conclusive but we'll just assume that for now. I don't think it had anything to do with your fuel system at all! The problem just happened to rear its ugly head while you were tinkering with the fuel filter. The reason for your car not consistantly starting before the disaster could be caused by any number of things. Dirty throttlebody, restricted idle air passages, worn out ignition parts, or a plugged fuel filter just to name a few. So, while you were trying to fix the poor starting the head gasket blew. Hmmm.. Not your week huh? I guess you're S.O.L. [Shit!! Outta Luck] The reason your car isn't starting now is probably since the combustion chambers are flooded with coolant and its loosing compression since the head gasket has blown. Once again, we don't for sure know if its the head gasket cuz I havn't physically seen the engine and its just my best guess for the time being. What I'd do if I were you, is to figure out what the car is worth. How much are you willing to pay to get the car fixed and running again. What can you afford. Tell the dealership to give you an estimate on repairing the car and if the repair bill is too high. Say bah bye to the car and get another new/used Sentra. Sorry dude...
