The only difference I've seen between the GA16DE and
the GA16DNE is in the design of the intake manifold.
The DNE engine has the MAF, FICD, and AAC as a single
assembly mounted behind the engine where the DE intake
plenum should be.
The DNE has the same compression ratio as the DE and,
other than the intake manifold, all other engine parts
are the same. Dunno about the ECU, although I would
think that the DNE uses a different ECU. Other than
intake mods, any other mods for the DE should work/fit
on the DNE.
Maybe someone else on the list can explain why the
intake manifold design for the DNE give 5hp less than
the DE.
