You blew your engine and guess what! Expect to pay for it out of your own
pocket, because the DEALER will not warranty that because you raced the car
and abused it. The don't fix things users do to damage there cars. Live
and learn......

Subject: SML: I FREAK UP MY CAR IN A RACE!!!!!
I was driving fast on a boulevard last night and a new BMW 308i I think it
was, flicked me off and he already downshifted and took off. Once I saw him,
I downshifted from fourth to second and chased him and to my surprise, I was
actually dead even with him and I had 3 people in my car and he had one.
Then we went to the twisty part and we were pretty much the same with me
behind him the same distance as he first took off. Damn pretty impressive.
But then later he slowed down I think to make a turn so I passed him up.
Then at the next stop light, I saw a 2001 volvo with a racing spoiler and he
was also by himself. I decided to race him too since it was 2AM in the
morning and there was no cars on the big 3 lane road and no traffic lights
for half a mile. I was shifting 1st, redline, 2nd, redline, 3rd, redline,
and I was gaining on him pretty quick, but then next thing I did, I
misshifted down to second and wrooomm and the car stalled at speeds of
85-90mph. Then I slowed to around 30 and I tried to crank the engine because
I was so impatient and the car wouldn't start. Then I stopped completely and
the car still wouldn't start so I had to tow it away. Yeah I know it was all
my fault. I don't know how I could of misshifted like that. I've raced so
many times before and damn... this is impossible!!!. Stupid long truck
shifter has got in my way a few times before when I was pushing the cars to
the limit at the twisties when heel toeing.
Do you guys think whether I blew the engine or the starter? Luckily my car
is still under warranty so I can bring it to the dealer but I'm not going to
tell them it's because I made a mistake. Any tips on what I should tell
them?
