I'm not terribly shocked. My friend and I were sitting at a light, when some
kids in a stock accord pulled up next to us. They revved their motor about
three times (which he completely ignored, I mean give me a break, we were in
a buick grand national), and did a power brake launch off the line. He just
toodled away like usual, and was promptly pulled over with the accord for
drag racing (the ticket just says "RACING" on it..haha!). He tried to
explain to the officer that the possibility of him racing was assinine, as
the car is in the mid 11's, and would have made an extremely obvious display
if it had truly been racing. He then revved the motor for the officer,
twisting the car and raising one wheel off the ground (bad!). The officer
rolled his eyes, tore off the ticket, and walked away mumbling "jackass". I
suspect it will be very easy to beat because no speed metering device was
used, and he probably won't even show up for the hearing.
It's still funny...you would think in gatornational country they would know
what real street racing was!
