I have a '91 XE and it was checked by Nix and Black, the oldest and best
alignment shop in Orlando. Is there any particular reason this is
important? I have had it checked three times by two different shops over
the last 6 months (don't ask...had to take apart the front end a couple of
times and all these shops do a 4-wheel check) and the rear alignment was
well within spec all three times. What's more, after I replace the front
strut mount I may have to do it all over again.
I had been hearing funny noises from the rear end for a long time now,
probably since I had 80k miles on it. I wasn't sure what it was and it only
occurred sometimes at highway speeds; sounded a bit like tire noise but it
wasn't steady. I now think it was my worn rear struts doing their death
cry. At 140k miles, it's definitely time to put these guys into their final
resting place. Any more questions?

What year do you have and who checked your alignment?
