My first question would be, were the pads/rotors bedded properly. I would
look at the technical section of sentra.net. under the brake section. Mike
K. has provided the advised procedure for doing this. The knocking noise
sounds funny, this is something I would expect from rear drum brakes, not
disc brakes that are bedded/installed correctly. Just for shits and grins
make sure your lug nuts are fully tightened.

A question foy those technical minds on here. I have just put on cross
drilled rotors and they are making a knocking noise when I stop from a
moderate to slow speed. The noise does not occur all the time, but it seems
to occur when the brakes are cold. Don't know if it matters, but I also have
carbon fiber pads with the cross drilled rotors and stainless steel brake
lines. The car stops great but do not want there to be an underlying problem
that I am missing. Thanks for any help you can give me.
