My wires are run correctly on opposite sides of the car. I can get my RPMs
to drop a little by moving the steering wheel(I think thats natural). I can
get my lights to dim by starting the car. With my old sony when the bass hit
my lighs used to blink. Now its just when I change songs, channels, or
sources. You guys seem to think it's my sub amp?

actually you might have good lead there. i've heard of people having
problems such as alternator whine simply because the alternator was on the
way out, perhaps he sound have it checked.

the rpm drop is caused by the alternator using more hp to product electrical
energy.

acutally if at 14 volts and on a high powered system like mine, there can
be as much as 60 amps going through, 60*14=840 watts which is more than
enough to induce noise on just about anything
