I removed my head liner when I soundproofed the ceiling of the car. I had to
remove the visor,rear view mirror, A/B/C pillar panels and the dome light to
get everything out. Abit of a PITA.
If you're just after the VW look you can get a plastic lookalike for 10
bucks at Walmart's riceboy section. The real Fuba has a built in AM/FM RF
amplifier built into the base.
How much are those thing anyways, not sure i could justify the cost if its
more than a hundred bucks since I don't listen to the radio much and I don't
care to imitate VWs, although the antennas are kinda neat from a technology
standpoint.
