This is exactly what Mike Kojima has been saying all along, man! It is also
documented in the "Technical" section of Sentra.net. If you haven't read it,
you should--very interesting, very helpful. Anyway, the bigger TB will make
power once you get cams and ECU, but until then it just gets you to the
engine's full breathing capacity faster, which is where that throttle
response is coming from.
