Great to here that Mike K!   I noticed the same thing with the head off the 
spare motor I have.  I took everything out and looked inside and saw the 
sharp bends in it.  Why did Nissan ever design a head this way?  The crazy 
way the exhaust ports come out to being right next to each other on 1,2 and 
3,4.  Why not do the same design as the the SE-R head equal ports on the 
intake and exhaust?  Is it fuel economy or something?  I never looked at the 
new head, but would it bolt onto a 91-94 block with no problems if this 
flowed better?  
        B legere, did some porting and saw the intake ports flowed better 
than the exhaust.  He got them somewhat more equal after porting.  Mike, I 
hope the 92 head can be made to flow better and with cams, HP should be 
better and smoother.  
                    When you get the slow figures, can you post them in the 
Sentra net or on the list?
