You could remove it yourself, if you feel confident doing it. I would take
it to a shop and have it extracted as the other guy recommended though.
It's too easy for your drill bit to slip off-center and start drilling
threads or even cylinder head. Still, if you want to try it give it a good
zap in the middle with a center punch, buy some screw extractors (I don't
recommend the Craftsman ones with the spiral pattern) and select a drill bit
consistent with the stud diameter and drill it as deep as it says on the
instructions. Then tap the extractor in, crank on it with a wrench and out
it comes. I would apply some penetrating oil at the start just to make
things a bit easier. Make sure to drill STRAIGHT and on center and you will
be ok.

I drive a 99' Nissan Sentra and I was replacing the stock exhaust manifold
to
OBX racing headers. While tightening the bolts I accidentally torqued a bolt

too much and I broke the stud. How would I go about replacing this broken
stud? Can one missing bolt cause an exhaust leak? Please any info is greatly

appreciated.
