ok! finally finished. had 2 sources for the clunking. unfortauntely, one was
a stripped stud for the lugnut. i have no idea how it got stripped. i
hand-tightened it criss-cross, then torqued criss-cross. once my friend told
me that these locks cross-thread, so i gotta start looking for new
lugs/locks.

the other cause of the clunking was directly related to the agx. the
instructions said to put the oe bushing on top of the top mount plate, then
the nut. oh yeah, this is for a b14, rear struts. so that's what i did, but
as i started to drive, the bushing went up and covered the nut, so there was
a lot of play. so what i did was put the stock gold washer on top of the oe
bushing, and tightened the nut as much as i could.

i'm still waiting on an answer on how to torque this nut. because i can't
turn the nut without the shaft turning as well. if anyone knows, please
help. but as for now, no clunking. i'll leave a few tools in the car to
tighten that if i need to. thanx in advance.
