There is a wire coming off of most alarms called "ground when armed". It's 
usually orange. What it does is, whenever the alarmed is armed.... It emits a 
ground ... when you disarm the alarmed....it stops..

After market LED set ups hook up to this to know when to turn themselvs on. 
The LED set up isn't just a pack of LED's, but a small "brain" that controls 
the lights and the actual LED's themselves. They hook up to the ground when 
armed output off the alarm itself and have there own power and ground source.

If your interested in only running two extra LED's, you can parallel them 
right off the original one without a problem. But i wouldn't recommend doing 
more than a total of three (3) off the original out put.
