I read somewhere that the Unorthodox U/D pulley somehow alleviates this slack. And according to the Sentra.net website, it doesn't harm to have one, maybe you can try it and let us know. Also, the last time I had that problem where the engine would fail, the dealer had to replace the alternator. Have an electrician or some mechanic check it out as far as its output is concerned.
