Dr Marik is one of the attending physicians at my facility... If anyone
has specific questions please send them to me and I will track Dr Marik
down... I am not sure if he follows this list serv or not however I am
going to forward him a link to it and attempt to get him involved.

I have not reviewed this specific article in question but will later
this evening... However I do know that Dr. Marik is not a fan of CVP and
has lectured on the inconsistency of CVP monitoring as well as published
a meta-analysis article on the issue. We do use NICOM and PICCO
monitoring on our septic shocks patient in lieu of CVP.

        Dear All,

I would like to ask for a feedback regarding an article authored
by Paul E. Marik which was published in the Annals of Intensive Care
2011 1:17. The article is entitled " Surviving sepsis:going beyond the
guidelines". Much to my chagrin, it contained unfavorable reviews of the
SSC bundles.

Hoping to hear from you all,

Since the NICE-SUGAR study, is the majority still using
intensive insulin therapy drip for hyperglycemia in the ICU patients?
Our pharmacist shared an article (details & source to follow, apologies)
regarding the use of insulin drip to treat hyperglycemia as a weak
recommendation.

        Thanks.
