We are piloting a routine screening process for floor patients to improve recognition and early treatment for this population. We are trying to develop an algorithm and protocol for patients that screen positive for severe sepsis based on serum lactates, etc. Does anyone have a protocol and/or algorithm that they use for patients that screen positive on the floor for severe sepsis?
