Hi I have a protocol and have created a policy proposal. I can help you create
a protocol for a pilot floor in your facility. It is dependent the kind of EHR
you have, current policies in place, RRT and of course the culture of your
organization.

I will be more than happy to help you develop your program and all I ask is if
you decide to use it for a pilot, will you be willing to publish your results
and co-author an article?

Subject: [Sepsis Groups] Floor screening for sepsis

We are piloting a routine screening process for floor patients to improve
recognition and early treatment for this population. We are trying to develop
an
algorithm and protocol for patients that screen positive for severe sepsis
based
on serum lactates, etc.

Does anyone have a protocol and/or algorithm that they use for patients that
screen positive on the floor for severe sepsis?

Thanks,

Ken
