At our hospital we are trying to give antibiotics within an hour for our septic
patients. We are finding the nurses do not always know when the blood cultures
have been drawn. Does anyone have a good system in place that alerts the nurse
once they have obtained the blood cultures so then the nurse can give that
antibiotic asap? Any suggestions are appreciated.
