When possible we include; specifically if EMS has been trained to screen and
intervene for sepsis and are actually instituting the 3 hour bundle en route.

Subject: [Sepsis Groups] Pre-hospital/EMS Fluids

We have been heavily focused on fluid administration recently as this seems to
be our biggest area of opportunity. A question was raised in a recent team
meeting in regards to pre-hospital/EMS fluid administration.

When considering the initial 30ml/kg bolus, do you include or exclude
pre-hospital fluids?

Thank you for your time!
