We complete POC Lactates on all appropriate ED patients. We do venous draws
in-house and in ICU. During RRT situations it is done with ABG. Good results
using POC....no complaints or issues. ED also uses it for other tests and the
results are accurate and believable (comparative testing was done when we
implemented POC).

Subject: [Sepsis Groups] Point of care lactate testing

Good Morning,

Can anyone share their experience with point of care lactate testing? We are
currently evaluating our processes and examining the pros and cons associated
with various techniques (venous draw to lab vs ABG vs POC).

Thank you!
