I have attempted to attach a clinical findings table that I completed on lactic
acid. The final study was done in trauma patients with arterial and venous
LA correlating for trending. Some of our sepsis team members struggled with
this issue and after examining the science our focus is on the trend and
getting repeat LAs completed. Process issues and cost also influenced our
decision. Please feel free to e-mail me off line if the attachment is not
available.

As long as ALL future lactic acids are drawn arterially; you cant mix and
match. Once arterial always arterial.
