The patient doesn't necessarily have persistent hypotension at the start of the
clock.
Septic shock can also be abstracted for a lactate level >4, or physician
documentation, not just hypotension after crystalloid fluids.

Subject: [Sepsis Groups] SEP-1 vasopressor timing

Hi again, another question r/t persistent hypotension and starting vasopressors.

1) The measure allows 6 hours between 'septic shock presentation time'
(persistent hypotension in the hour after completion of crystalloids) to
'vasopressors administration time'. Six hours seems long to me considering the
patient already has persistent hypotension at the start of the clock (shock
clock). This time (6 hrs to give vasopressors) is different than the way the
SSC did it, correct? Just making sure.
