who will discuss the recently published Third International Consensus 
Definitions for Sepsis and Septic Shock (Sepsis-3) and a related response that 
has been provided by the Surviving Sepsis Campaign (SSC). Preparation for this

septic shock, the quick Sepsis-Related Organ Failure Assessment (qSOFA) and how 
this definition relates to bedside sepsis screening.
