Most of my physicians are hesitant to hang antibiotics on the patient who will
be going to dialysis and often wait until post treatment to do so. I'm looking
for best practice guidelines related to treating dialysis patients who meet
severe sepsis criteria. I haven't been able to find anything that would suggest
a different practice from the 60 minute goal for these patients.

Are there different / specific recommendations regarding for administration
time frame and antibiotic choice for these patients?
