We use the ClearSight EV 1000 system to measure stroke volume during IVF
resuscitation. We provided staff/MD education and had the developer of this
system give a lecture to our physicians as well and it has helped with bundle
compliance in CHF and ESRD patients presenting with sepsis.

Hi,
We are thinking about writing letters to physicians when they have met all the
Core Sepsis Measures. I would love any examples you may have and also your
feedback as to if this has been beneficial.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Debra

We are having issues with providing the full 30mL/kg volume for septic shock in
patients with either End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) or CHF.
Does anyone have a strategy that worked for you that convinced providers the
patient still needs the volume in the presence of septic shock?
Or is it known if there is any movement by CMS to allow for exceptions for
patients with these comorbidities?

Thank you,
Betsy
