Ok I understand your position. FYI - This might have changed even though I still see the docs state you need to enable it. The sqlite3 v3.26 installed both on my mac and linux did not require me to enable JSON as it was already enabled.
How much time roughly would you estimate to create a sqlite_json plugin/extension if I were to build one?
