Why don't you simply send the XML config file you need through JMX?
If you want to do everything programmatically, you will have to look at 
the DatabasesParser code to figure out in which order calls have to be 
performed to get a well-formed representation of a vdb. It is a 'tricky 
mess' as mentioned in 
https://forge.continuent.org/jira/browse/SEQUOIA-4. If you feel like 
refactoring this code, don't hesitate !
