It looks like you are all set, both enable commands worked fine.
It is normal that a backend shows an <unknown> checkpoint once it has 
been enabled. As soon as a backend is enabled, it does not correspond 
anymore to the checkpoint it was enabled from since potentially writes 
are currently being executed on it.
Actually, if you did a 'show backend' between the restore and enable 
operation, you would have seen the checkpoint.
