The director of the NGO “European Movement” and former Kosovo MP, Rada
Trajkovic, said that the case of killed Kosovo Serb politican Oliver Ivanovic
remains unsolved and the northern part of Kosovo is ruled by mafia. She said
that Kosovo serbs feel safer in Pristina than in northern part of Kosovo which
is inhabited mainly by Serbs.

Trajkovic said that after Oliver Ivanovic’s killing on 16 January 2018 in front
of his political party office in Mitrovica North, many Serbs feel safer in
Pristina rather than in northern part of Kosovo. Belgrade daily Blic reports
that Trajkovic made these comments in a meeting dedicated to Ivanovic, who was
leader of the Citizens Initiative “Freedom, Democracy, Justice,” which was held
on Monday in the city of Kraljeva, Serbia. Four months after his killing
authorities in Pristina have not managed to solve the case. “Many Serbs in
Kosovo, especially those living in enclaves, feel safer in Pristina than in
northern Kosovo,” Trajkovic said.
