:/ How do I fix it? A newer version of James? A newer JDK? Is it unsolved, if so do you know what class it is happening in so I can take a look?

Unless, of course, a bug in the JDBC spooler were to cause it to spin loop.
Go into the mysql admin, and repeatedly do "show status;" and check to see
if the "Questions" is increasing.
