To remove cornerstone we would need to rewrite most of james. I don't think this will happen in the next 2 years. I think we can move to OSGi or Spring or any other container while keeping the cornerstone dependency: cornerstone is still mantained. I think we should try to remove phoenix but I don't think that moving from cornerstone to another library is a primary goal. I removed the MailStore because it was a not needed interface and now it's more clear that dependency on MailStore is the same thing that dependency on Store. IMHO eventually we should add a concept similar to the store to the mailet api, so the current MailStore is not needed anyway. > P.S. Please keep conversation on the mailing list, not in > JIRA.
