The developer of SPF answers: Hi Norman,
The current status of SPF is unsupported. The version on Sourceforge was written according to Meng Wong's early specifications. Since then there have been two or three other specifications for it, it has not been updated to reflect these. You should note that SPFJava uses Java's native DNS querying. This seems to cause a lot of problems such as cacheing records which have expired and failing to return certain records. A better idea would be to replace all the native Java DNS calls with the DNSJava library ( James currently uses the library ) I have found that SPF has major problems with forwarding, additionally MS managed to really mess things up with SenderID. Please feel free to fork the code and move it forward. I've included a Jar with the latest SPF code, it may be more recent than on Sourceforge. The only difference is probably some bug fixes. Regards Roger Fullerton So i will modify it to works like it should and build a jar . bye Am Dienstag, den 18.04.2006, 12:03 +0200 schrieb Norman Maurer: > Ah ok thx for the explaintation :-) > > that means that we can use it without probs :-) But im not surewhats the > best: > 1.Include the jar and just override the defunct functions > > or: > > 1.Build or own spf implementation > > what you think ? > > bye > > Ps: No answers from developer at all :-( > > > Am Dienstag, den 18.04.2006, 11:57 +0200 schrieb Stefano Bagnara:
