Jasen distribution is licensed under LGPL:
http://www.jasen.org/licence.txt
The distinction would be between "work that uses the library" and "work
based on the library" and James would use that library, btw I think that
probably ASF is very conservative about this and internal rules won't
allow James to be distributed with Jasen.
Btw a mailet could be created and added to JIRA. In future we could have
a non ASL mailets repository somewhere (sourceforge).
A similar project already exists: http://sourceforge.net/projects/jamailet

We should create a mailet that use jasen (www.jasen.org) to filter spam. This project is pure java spamfilter. With its license it whould be able to ship it with james.
