Not difficult to do if thats what we want.

And Maven *might* be useful if we're thinking of distributing James in
a variety of ways, the dependance management could be extremely
convenient. But it might be too confusing to try to refactor at the
same time as we change the whole build process. I'm more in favour of
trying to do one thing at a time.
