Hi Robert, unfortunally the current docs are not really existent :( Anyway I would suggest you to check out "http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/james/imap/trunk/"; and dig into the code. If you are interested in writing an "costum" Mailbox implementation I would suggest you to look at the store and jpa module (the jpa module use the "store" module).
