Well, it could be for some company, and "proprietary extensions" could
benefit to the project as well.

Linagora is however dedicated to Free Software. As part of the OpenPaaS
project (the context of almost all our Apache James contributions), if
we develop extensions, we are trying to make them generic enough to fit
in James code base. So that will not be "our business model".

To be noted that we might offer support and consulting for people
willing to write their own "extensions" to James.

One of the key reason to choose James was the ease of integrating new
email features in it.
